Capcom Japan is investigating the Championship edition bugs!

In a statement that appeared at the Japanese capcom website, the company is first appologizing for the issues some PS3 users are experiencing with the recent free SFIV Championship expansion Pack.

If you are not aware of this issue, the bug occurs while trying to access the network features of SFIV, a message will pop up saying that the last match did not cend correctly and for that reason you rank goes down. 

I experienced the same issue for the first time yesterday and is quite annoying.

Capcom also added that they are currently investigating the issue to find out the cause of this bummer bug.
