Liu Kang is Gen in the new Street Fighter Movie!

Another week equals another post at the new (already forgotten by many) Street Fighter movie Blog. This time it was revealed that the actor who will play the wise murderous old master gen is none other than (the already forgotten too) Robin Shou who did a decent job playing Liu Kang in the Mortal Kombat Movies.

Attached to this post if the first official Screenshot from the not so anticipated movie, portraying Robin Shou as Gen.

What do you guys think? Yay or Nay ?

They were right saying that it would be a total surprise. The choice isn't so bad, because I like him, but I would much prefer an older actor... like Gen is.

Nay.....what time frame is this anyway? Yeah like the dude above me said.......I thought Gen was supposed to be older. Why change little things, just get an older person to play GEN! Is it that damn hard? It is just like in Transformers did Optimus Prime have to have LIPS? STUPID.....this makes me very sad face.

Regardless of the character choice, I believe Robin Shou will do his part very well.

I'm with the "too damn young looking" people. He's more like Raiden than Gen, which keeps the MK connection going, but isn't right for a wizened old assassin.

Let's hope they don't bungle the other characters too much. And that they TRY to stick with the original story--which, in all fairness, is a mess, but still.
