The SFIV hall of shameful quitters

A brilliant Idea from Adam Woz, a fellow SRK member: He put together a blog specifically to show and announce ragequitters!  If you are not familiar with the word rage quitter, it is someone who quit the online match when he knows he is loosing to you. I hate QUITTERS!!! why can't they take a loss like a man???

Anyway, the blog not only shows usernames of the quitters but also pictures to prove their shame!

Ragequitters your quitting days are numbered!!!

I'd say this is a good idea naming and shaming Rage Quitters, but alot of the people doing the naming and shaming come off as even more retarded then the Quitters on that site.

Well, not reguarding mad monkey's comments. At first I thought it was a good idea. Lord knows I had some of those players myself. However, a question came up as to how you separate the quiters from the ones that conviently lost connection? Its almost the same as convicting an innocent guy of theft because he was conviently at the broke into store at the time the cops showed up.

He's not the only one that's been doing it, I've been chronicling ragequitters as well (just whom I play against)

making blogs makes people look like they care too much. its just some BP =/

also seems pointless, since capcom have stated they are adding in a feature in the update to try and prevent rage quits.

Mad Monkey: Eventhubs is a good site and Strugler himself is on good terms with Eventhubs webmasters.

On Topic: I don't think this is going to work. Nobody is going to read that list, go play, and remember every single name so as not to play with certain persons.

The best way to get rid of rage quitters is to play them. Rage quitters are usually bad players and beating them enough will turn them of to the game altogether.

haha some of the hate mail is funny as hell...
besides this, there are bad winners too in there, because if you already won it's not necessary to send a message to the loser saying "you're scrub blah, blah, blah cheap ass bison" or whatever...

You know, I enjoy a really competitive match and I also don't mind losing because I learn when I lose. winning all of the time gets old. but when I play a match with someone who is much more skilled than me and they keep taunting every time I get knocked down. I say go fuck yourself. or when someone is on the mic and keeps talking shit. I understand tactics and I'm well aware that may be a tactic to get inside someone's head. I don't care, I'll quit the hell outta that game. because it no longer is fun. its irritating and unnecessary. especially when the skill level is obvious. why the hell should I let them ruin my time and let them get any battle points on me. if you want this community to grow and do what's best for the game, don't act like an asshole online. I bet that would cut disconnects in half people just used some etiquette.

I don't really see how the naming and shaming would accomplish anything as im sure most players won't have a list of quitters with them when it comes to actually playing the game online, but I can say that rage quitters and lag switch users convinced me to permanently use Player Matches instead of Ranked, purely because while I don't mind losing games *my record on XBL isn't particularly stellar anyway*, i'd rather lose in a fair match where records don't matter then lose in a ranked game where its clear the other person is cheating.
