However what it looks strange for me is some weeks ago I read an interview where someone of Capcom answered to the question if there will be any change in the ending in order to match with story line of SFIV and this guy said «no».
Instead the Ryu's ending is totally different from the original one (even Guile's one got a little modification).
@guada: The endings are a little different, but nothing was changed to match the story of SFIV. Ryu's art is quite different, but his text is about the same "keep on fightin'" babbling it always is. Guile's text is nearly identical. About the only difference is the use of the SSF2T post-ending still shot of him at Charlie's grave is now in the ending itself and during the day. That, and the absence of the scene of him at home. Know what you're talking about next time, thanks.
Oh com'on man! Don't be so polemic =) I know what I'm talking about, I know there is no so many changes, but for instance in the original Ryu's ending there wasn't any grave and in the Guile's ending it was Julia that said to do not kill Bison, in a nutshell it wasn't a Guile's quote.
I remember everything of that, I play to SF since 1990...
@guada and anonymous, doesn't the link between this game and Street Fighter 4 actually depend who WON the tournament. Remember the endings for each character shows what would happen if THEY ended up winning.
It doesn't make sense for Guile's wife to have traveled to Thailand AND found the super secret location where Bison fights him. Also, giving Guile's character that moment of clarity, where he finally lets his vengeance go, just develops his character better.
In the case of Ryu's ending, having Sagat and Bison casually standing on an olympic-style podium after a no holds barred tournament, that was only organized to get "revenge" on a few choice characters, is just stupid.
it's not exactly right... if you check the new endings, in particular Ryu's one there's no quote about his winning of the tournament. It's the same for Guile.
However if we check the document made by Tiamat on gamefaqs we read the winner of the tournament is Guile (if I remember well).
But what about Gouki/Akuma? He is the one who killed Bison, they must show that in the ending!
I'm sure they probably do in Akuma's. At least, I hope so.
I still want to know how the hell Bison came back from the SGS. Probably the same thing explaining his presence in SF2 after they made him blow the hell up in nearly every SFA3 ending. "Spare body lol."

I think the changes are good.

The changes are great and make a lot more sense.
