Looks and sounds like a anime opening, its appeal would be the japanese im guessing.

I like that a actual song was used- prob linked to a actual song being used in sf3, which was popular with the fans.

The opening song has a sort of cheesy charm to it. I dig it. Although, I absolutely love the second song. When I first heard it in the E3 2008 Trailer I knew I would love this game. Glad it's being used in the game as Volcanic Rim's BGM. Only 1 month to go!

Well I really like weird japanese pop music so that first song was fine with me but the whole time I was listening to it I was thinking, "White people will hate this, some Black people might dig it, but it's so japanese!"

Well it's only the intro, if you hate it just push start, haha! Also long as it's not "I'm gonna take you for a a riiiide - do do do do - do do do do - DO! I'm gonna take you for a a riiiide - do do do do - do do do do - DO!"

how da F*** u figure black ppl may dig it wtf... like u no wat ppl prefer and plus that is a jap boy band..so wat u said was stupid any1 may dig it or hate it(being if you are japanese or not).. regardless its not bad but u need to think b4 u type wat u say

I think the music itself is awesome...the singing makes the song suck because you just can't take your mind off of the cheesy lyrics...actually reminds me more of a vandamme flick. I'm sure I'll grow to love it because it is part of such and epic game. agreed also that the second song seriously makes me wanna go out and try to fucking uppercut some waterfalls!!!

The first song sucks and I'm black! The 2nd song is really good, I like it. It fits Street Fighter IV perfectly!

1 month in counting!

The singing is actually the Character Selection screen song with lyrics. So, you better dig it. =p

]But was I the ONLY ONE who say a FUCKING INK TRAILER FIGHT BETWEEN BISON AND SETH?

OMGWTFHAWT!

I can imagine Zac Efron singing that track in High School Musical 4. I liked it however. The 2nd track is fucking awesome sauce though.

I'd mind it more if it was more than just an intro.

very nice choice of music.

What is the name of that damn song? I can't find it anywhere. I think it's really cool. Anyone know the name?

The first song is "meh" and sounds a little wimpy. The second song was uplifting and perfect.

Both songs fail but I *guess* the second one is at least better than that horrible hip hop SF3 intro. They really need to turn their presentation over to people who know how to do it properly. These lame intros and cheezie announcers have got to go!

...really dunno what to think about the song at the beginning of the intro...otherwise it was pretty good.

Awesome intro, just the right amount of Japanese street fighter "cheese" the melody is the same as the character select screen. Gotta take it for what it is an give it a couple listens.

who sings? Backstreet Boys?

Well - I'm Black and I like both songs!

The first song has its own charm to it... I actually expected some sort of "anime-ish" theme to pop up somewhere anyway. I will admit though that it's a little strange to have that song in there because SF hasn't ever been known to have lyrical songs in their games. Unless of course, you wanna count Ready To Fight from the remixed soundtrack of ST... But I digress. I like it, and with the current zeitgeist of fighting game music, (DBZ, Tekken) that 1st song fits well with the times.

The 2nd song is just totally 100% amazing! There have been at least 2 or 3 other versions of this same song, and the version in the intro is probably by far the best one. So my hat's off to the guys in the SF4 music department!!!

"SF hasn't ever been known to have lyrical songs in their games"

the soundtrack in SF3 was good and oddly enough had rapping,

I think there are alot of sf3 influences in sf4 but that about it, its not for the sf3 fans

sf 3 had one of the best soundtracks ever, minus any lyrics. end of story. that music goes so well with the flow of the battles.

but it wasn't really street fighter.

however the second song in that intro is the friggin EPITOME of street fighter.
