Street Fighter IV Collectors edition for ps3 SOLD OUT at Amazon xbox360 version and regular versions to follow!!!

In a bit of a shocker, the PS3 version of Street Fighter IV collector's edition is sold out from Amazon. Seth Killian has already issued a msg for all the fans who want to get the CE edition to place their preorders ASAP.

Rumors are going around that some Gamestop and Ebgames have also sold out of the CE edition.

According to Sven from Capcom Unity, the CE edition of SFIV should be sold out from everywhere up to a week prior to the game's release. The bad news abt all this is that Capcom WILL NOT, i repeat, WILL NOT, manifacture anymore Street Fighter IV Collector's edition.

From Sven: " Unlike the TE sticks, on the Collector's Edition version of Street Fighter IV, when they're gone, they're gone. There will never be more made. We have more retail orders for them than we have goods. We made a LOT of them, but it was also a figure we hoped would not be sitting on retailers shelves more than a month after launch. As  it turns out, it's a figure that probably wont' be sitting on shelves longer than the time it takes all pre-orders to be picked up.

Amazon is already sold out of its allocation of CEs. In the Capcom store we freed up another couple hundred units from some goods that were being held for events but I suspect they'll ALL be spoken for in the next day. I promise you this: every CE everywhere will be presold at least a week before launch."

Sven also added that the regular version will very likely sell out few days prior to the game's release: "We warned people a few days ago this would happen if you didn't pre-order. Additionally, if you don't pre-order the regular version of the game, there is a very good chance you won't get it day one either  based upon how our pre-orders are ramping in an unusual way. Demand is ramping level that has not typical and while we have backup goods on order, they're not day one. "

It looks like Street Fighter IV will break all kinds of Records. SWEET

If you are an xbox 360 owner and did not pre order your collectors edition i suggest you do so now. Amazon still has few units left.
